From the desk of the executive director
I am so sorry in the delay in getting out the third edition of the newsletter to you all! It has been a hectic time of getting a wonderful conference put together that I’m sure you will all enjoy! Trust me, this is a conference you do not want to miss!
Our Executive Board has been diligently working behind the scenes getting ready for our annual membership meeting and the final details for conference. Our State and Alternate Representatives should be reaching out to each and every one of you to encourage your participation in the conference and to gather news from you to post in our newsletter. Don’t forget you can always reach out to me with any news to share – re-election, retirement, special anniversaries, etc. Our organization is here to support each other and we want to hear from you!
Please note that if you have not yet paid your dues, they were due by July 1st. Notices have been sent out if yours have not yet been received – please be sure to send in right away so you can continue to support and benefit from our organization. This is an organization for you – we are here for each other. If you need letters to the editor, press releases, speakers at conferences, etc., reach out! We would love to assist in any way we can!
Off to finish working on conference details now. I miss seeing all of your smiling faces and hope to see you soon in Montana!
Edition 2025-04
We are approaching the time of year when the days just speed by with all of the upcoming holidays. Remember to take time to be thankful and to enjoy precious time spent with family and loved ones. Lives can change in a blink of an eye, with the littles growing up, children leaving the home for their own adventures, and adults continuing to age. Enjoy that adventure you have been planning, take a different friend forlunch each week, buy that car you have wanted. Sometimes just the littlest of things brings the greatest joys to those around us. Many happy holidays to you!
Edition 2025-03
Summer is almost over! Many of us have or will be taking our annual vacations during these warmer days and enjoying some much-needed rest and relaxation! Some of us spent a great week in Albuquerque, New Mexico for the 44th Annual Conference! Wow! What a great group of presenters and an exciting outing! If you missed this conference, you missed a lot! Please be sure to plan on attending next year so you won’t miss one thing!
Edition 2025-02

Greetings!
Welcome to the first edition of The Gavel Newsletter!
With the era of magazines ending, our printed version of The Gavel has ceased to exist. BUT, the National Judges Association has a strong desire to keep our membership involved and aware of the exciting new things happening within our organization! Thus, the beginning of our quarterly e-mailed newsletter to all active members.
